Here is a beautiful example of a fireplace made with large format porcelain slabs, cut and polished to achieve a unique design and an excellent finishing.
For cutting and handling 3 meters long porcelain slabs, the specific Montolit “Progetto 300” tools were used.
Particularly sensitive was the realization of the mitre cuts, which allowed the perfect pair of the slabs on the corners.
Diamond bevel profiles with a radius of 3 mm were used for this specific processing, as well as diamond resin polishing pads with Velcro coupling, which can be used for dry or wet grinding and polishing of porcelain tiles and natural stone.
With these tools on a simple angle grinder, at variable speed, it is possible to implement mitre cuts directly on the construction site (45 degrees chamfer) or very accurate bevels.
